WHY “SIX LINES”?

The answer comes from the relationships inside the hexagram.

A Liuyao reading is not simply about whether a hexagram is “good” or “bad.” The six lines are interpreted through their relationships, positions, movement, strength, timing, and the role each part plays in the question being asked.

The same hexagram can therefore speak differently when the question, timing, and circumstances are different.
