UNDERSTANDING LIUYAO

What Is Liuyao?

Liuyao is a traditional Chinese divination method used to examine one specific matter at a particular moment. Rather than describing your entire life, it focuses closely on the dynamics of the question in front of you.

問

ONE SPECIFIC QUESTION

Start With One Matter

Liuyao works best when the question is clear and specific — one relationship, one decision, one opportunity, one concern, or one situation you want to understand.

勢

PRESENT DYNAMICS

Read the Situation as It Stands

The hexagram is used to examine the forces currently shaping the matter — support, resistance, hidden factors, movement, conflict, and the relationship between the people or conditions involved.

時

DEVELOPMENT & TIMING

See Where It May Be Heading

The reading looks at how the situation may develop, what could block or change it, and when certain developments may become more likely or relevant.

六爻

WHY “SIX LINES”?

The answer comes from the relationships inside the hexagram.

A Liuyao reading is not simply about whether a hexagram is “good” or “bad.” The six lines are interpreted through their relationships, positions, movement, strength, timing, and the role each part plays in the question being asked.

The same hexagram can therefore speak differently when the question, timing, and circumstances are different.

一事 · 一問 · 一卦

One matter. One question. One focused reading.

Keeping the question focused allows the reading to go deeper into the actual dynamics of the situation instead of spreading the interpretation across unrelated topics.

WHAT CAN YOU ASK?

Bring One Question That Matters to You.

Liuyao is especially useful when you are not asking about your entire life — you want clarity around one real situation happening now.

情

RELATIONSHIPS

Love & Relationships

Where is this relationship heading? What is blocking progress? Is reconnection likely? What dynamics are shaping the situation now?

業

CAREER

Work & Opportunities

A job opportunity, career move, interview, collaboration, workplace situation, or specific professional decision.

決

DECISIONS

Choices & Direction

When you are facing two paths, uncertain whether to proceed, or want to understand the conditions surrounding an important choice.

財

MONEY & BUSINESS

Financial Situations

A specific business matter, transaction, income opportunity, payment issue, partnership, or financial situation you want to assess.

時

TIMING

When & How It May Develop

Understand when movement may become more likely, what may happen first, and which conditions could accelerate or delay the situation.

事

SPECIFIC MATTERS

A Concrete Situation

Lost items, travel plans, housing matters, agreements, communication, applications, or another clearly defined event you want to understand.

A GOOD LIUYAO QUESTION

Specific questions lead to more focused readings.

✓

“How is this relationship likely to develop over the next few months?”

✓

“What should I understand about this job opportunity?”

✓

“What is blocking progress in this situation?”

✓

“Is this matter likely to move forward, and what timing is indicated?”

一問一事

One reading is for one primary matter.

Relevant follow-up questions can stay within the same situation. A separate and unrelated matter should be treated as a new reading.

問

Want something you can keep? Choose Written. Want to talk it through now? Choose Private.

Both formats focus on one primary matter. Relevant follow-up questions may stay within the same situation.

01 What kind of question is suitable for Liuyao?

Liuyao works best for one specific matter: a relationship, decision, job opportunity, business situation, timing question, lost item, or another clearly defined situation you want to understand.

02 Can I ask more than one question?

Each reading focuses on one primary matter. Relevant follow-up questions can stay within the same situation, but a separate and unrelated matter should be treated as a new reading.

03 Do I need to understand Liuyao before booking?

No. You do not need to know any technical terminology. Tell me what is happening and what you want to understand. My role is to interpret the hexagram and translate it into clear language that relates to your actual situation.

04 What information should I provide?

Please provide one clear question, a short explanation of what has happened so far, and any relevant people, dates, or recent changes that may help me understand the situation.

05 How long does a written Liuyao reading take?

Written Liuyao readings are normally prepared within 3–5 business days. Each reading is interpreted individually rather than generated automatically.

06 What is different about the private consultation?

The private consultation is live and more responsive. I review your question before the session, then spend 30 minutes interpreting the situation with you in real time. Relevant follow-up questions can be discussed as the reading develops.

07 Are the readings generated by AI?

No. Every Liuyao reading is personally interpreted by me. I do not use automated reports or AI-generated interpretations as a substitute for the reading you purchased.

08 Is my question kept private?

Yes. Your question, personal background, and consultation details are treated as private information and are used only for preparing and delivering your reading.

09 Can Liuyao guarantee a specific outcome?

No. Liuyao is used to interpret current dynamics, tendencies, timing, obstacles, and possible developments. It does not guarantee that a particular event will happen exactly as described, and it does not replace professional medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice.
